CCSO is accepting applications for the following civilian position(s):
Duties to include; supervise, coordinate activities, establish goals and procedures for Purchasing Section. Oversee agency purchasing function which includes reviewing requisitions for best price and adherence to policy, provide training to agency members and obtain and research vendor pricing information. Review and assist with writing, preparing and analyzing written bid invitations, preparing and obtaining quotations, and requests for proposals in accordance with the bid procedures and Florida Laws. Coordinate contract updates, travel arrangement, property damage repairs, and auction of surplus and seized equipment. Assist with grant writing and reporting, perform cost analysis studies, budget analysis and other duties assigned. Min. qualification: BS degree with major coursework in business (preferably in accounting or related field), and 3 years progressively responsible administrative experience in purchasing management involving competitive bidding of which 2 years should be supervisory. CPPB preferred. Must be able to pass extensive background check including: polygraph, criminal history, fingerprint submission, physical exam & drug test. VEHICLE TECHNICIAN (MECHANIC)
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: diagnose and evaluate mechanical problems with Sheriff’s Office vehicles; perform minor and major repairs to Sheriff’s Office vehicles as required; perform routine scheduled maintenance on Sheriff’s Office vehicles; operate the Sheriff’s Office wrecker as required; provide accurate documentation of all work performed; additional duties as required. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma / GED. ASE certification and two years of vehicle maintenance experience. SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS
$9.50 / hour. Duties include: monitoring school crossing areas, instructing children on proper crossing procedures, monitoring student behavior, reporting traffic violations, attending mandatory trainings. Must be in good physical condition including sight, sound and mobility; good communication skills; dependable; able to work a split shift; able to pass background check including fingerprint submission, physical exam and drug test.
