A Message from Clay County Emergency Management
Floridians are closely watching the track of Hurricane Irene in the Caribbean. It is always important to take seriously any storm whose track could potentially affect our area and current predictions position the track of Hurricane Irene to have an impact on the east coast of Florida later this week. Clay County Emergency Management strongly urges residents to use the current forecast to immediately ready their family disaster plans and to stock up their emergency supply kits.
As we are currently entering what has been traditionally the busiest part of hurricane season, it is important to be prepared for this or any other storm or hazard that could potentially impact you and your family. Remember that personal preparedness is the key to enduring the impacts of any disaster adequately and comfortably.
