$7,000 Ring Stolen; Photo of Suspect Released
A suspect committed a grand theft of a ring from JC Penney yesterday in Orange Park. The ring is a 3-ct, white gold bridal ring sold for $7,056.99.
A man entered JC Penney at 1910 Wells Road at approximately 10:10am. The subject is described as a black male, possibly early 30ís wearing blue shirt, long blue jean shorts and wearing silver frame glasses. The salesman removed the ring and was showing it the male. The salesman handed the ring to the subject who then fled on foot. The entire time the subject is in the JC Penney he is on a cell phone with an unknown individual. The male subject runs out of the store and a silver 4-door compact car pulls up to the outside door to pick him up.
Clay County detectives are sharing information with authorities in Duval and St. Johns counties in regards to similar incidents that have occurred in those areas involving a man with a similar description.
