Shortly after 2pm today, the Compass Bank located at 2380 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg was robbed. The armed suspect fled south on Blanding Blvd on a motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle, crashed but was able to right the bike and flee the area. We suspect that the motorcycle (a black sport bike) is heavily damaged.
No one in the bank was injured. No other motorists were involved in the suspect’s crash. A search is underway in the general area to attempt to locate the suspect and a BOLO has been issued to all law enforcement agencies in our region.

Approximately 120-130 lbs
Wearing all black clothing and carry a black bag.
A section of Blanding Blvd near Palmetto Road in Middleburg is closed to traffic….motorists are being routed around the crash/investigation scene. We encourage drivers to avoid this area of Middleburg if at all possible due to the traffic congestion.
It is unknown at this time if the suspect is armed or unarmed. Anyone who knows anything about the location of this suspect is asked to call 911.
