The Clay County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit is proud to announce it’s partnership with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in providing boating safety instruction. USCGA Flotilla
14-5 has been established in Clay County at Reynolds Park Yacht Club and is offering boating safety inspections as well as boater safety courses. The courses will be offered monthly and are free of charge. The CCSO Marine Unit will support their efforts though providing boating safety instruction as well as continuing its mission to serve and protect the boating public.
USCGA and CCSO Boating Safety Class Course Schedule for 2010 (through May)
January 25 & 27and March 29 & 31 Consist of two evenings (Monday and Wednesday) 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM
March 6, April 24 and May 8 Consist of one Saturday 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM

Certificate: The class is taught by approved National Association of Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) certified instructors and the course is approved by NASBLA
and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Upon successful completion of the course the student will receive a state issued Boating Safety Card.
Persons born on or after January 1, 1988 are required to possess a Boater Safety Card to operate any motorized vessel greater than 10 hp.
