Local Business Owners Make Police Athletic League Concession Upgrade a Reality
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office held an appreciation ceremony today to say “thank you” to several area business owners whose contributions have helped Clay County PAL on a major project. As you see in the photo attached, the businesses combined talents to provide PAL with a custom portable grill system with gas, a custom-painted concession trailer, and even the food to sell in it.
Sheriff Rick Beseler thanked them each personally today for their contributions and for their interest in helping the families that benefit from PAL programs. The donated equipment will be used at PAL functions and sporting events. The following businesses/ individuals made the PAL concession upgrade project possible.
Karen Viverette of Viverette’s Paint & Body Shop, Inc.: (Provided a custom paint job on our concession trailer)
Captain Leon Green, CCSO Retired: (Provided/ built a custom crafted BBQ grill on a trailer)
Lou Webber Jr. of Lou Webber Tire, Inc.: (Donated new tires, rims, wheel bearings and associated labor for concession trailer)
Curtis Deel of AA Propane Gas Co, Inc.: (Donates free propane and tanks for all concession operations, converted our generator to run on propane gas)
CJ Powel of Powel & Son Industrial Repair, Inc.: (Donated metal for building our new BBQ trailer)
Mike and Jill Shalley of Lawtey Supermarket: (Donated 300 rib and chicken dinners as well as approximately 20 lbs. of pulled pork)
