Fatal Crash in Keystone

PUBLIC INFORMATION ANNOUNCEMENT
For immediate Release
April 21, 2009

The Clay County Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit is investigating an early morning single-vehicle crash that ended the life of Christina Ann Snipes (DOB 5-2-74) of Keystone Heights. The crash occurred at 2:30am this morning and the 4500 block of SR 21 had been closed since then….but is now reopened and traffic is back to normal.



Deputies believe Snipes was driving her 2005 red Chevrolet two-door and was traveling south on SR 21 when she left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle came to a rest after striking a tree on the east side of the roadway. Victim was not wearing her seat belt at the time. She died at the scene. All other aspects of the investigation remain under investigation by CCSO Traffic Homicide Investigators.



Snipes’ home address is 7034 Deer Springs Road in Keystone Heights. Her next of kin have been notified.
