Tow Truck Accident Kills Employee

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene of an accidental death that occurred this morning at around 5am at 3044 Joe Johns Road, the property of A1Towing Company, in Middleburg.



Two employees of A1 Towing had just returned to the property with a semi truck that was towed off the property of the Orange Park Kennel Club in Orange Park because it was illegally parked there.



The towed semi truck had slipped off the tow truck and the two employees were attempting to move it back on. The semi truck slipped again and rolled onto one of the employees who died instantly as a result.



The victim is 35-year-old Orange Park resident Danny E. Little. Little’s next of kin has been notified. He is originally from Georgia and had only lived in Clay County for 9 months.
