will I do as a Reserve Deputy? First, you must either be basic law enforcement certified or Auxiliary certified. After our agency has confirmed that you meet this criteria, you will then be eligible to apply for a position. Reserve deputies may do many of the same functions as full-time deputies - direct traffic,
provide security at school functions, operate PWC's (jet ski's),
boats, ATV's for search and rescue, ride a beat with other deputies
and much more. You will become a team member working side by side
with the staff of the Clay County Sheriff's Office. You can become
a valuable asset to our community keeping Clay County a safe place
in which to live and work.
